Hello everyone
I have a set of old (circa 1920) stereo photos on glass plates that I would like to digitize.
The glass plate slides are in different conditions, some are good, but many have collected dust over the many years.
My questions are:

1) What is the best way to clean / remove dust? Can I use water or distilled water?

2) What is a good way to preserve (store) them?

3) What is a good and efficient way to digitize the photos? Scanning or photographing using a digital camera?

4) I have an old stereoscope that came with the slides, but what do you recommend to be able to easily show and share the 3D images with friends and family over the internet?

Thanking you in advance for your time and advice or any reading material to recommend

Would need to see first hand but first clean them in a clean room, run a heppa filter to trap dust particles in the air. Use a soft sable brush, get a small detail like size 0, and then whatever size is good for you large

What size slides are the med format or realist, you shoot or scan depending on your own capabilities.
Once you digitize, you may display to your preffered format, thats subjective

On side note i am didgitally duping slides now, i print directly onto glass and my results hold up under viewer magnificatin at realist format size. I was just looking to register for isu so i can show samples at the convention
